Tides Out 5"x 7" Note Card

On the 4th of July 2022 we boarded a small plane and landed on the beach near Lake Clark to go bear viewing. I expected them to be fishing, but was shocked to learn that the brown bears dig for clams! There was about a half dozen or more bears along the beach with their noses intently combing the beach. They would stop periodically and shove a massive paw into the sand to pull out a clam, that they would proceed to gobble up and drop the shells to move on to the next. It was an amazing experience that I highly recommend! This piece was painted from one of the hundreds of photos I took that day!
