Hello friends, I feel that I’ve been negligent in updating my little chunk of cyberspace as of late. Honestly, summer felt like we needed to suck up every bit of sun and light. It was a time of reflection for me as well, figuring out what my next step for my little blog was.
At the end of July I finally made the leap and filed to become a licensed business in the state of Alaska. It was a long time coming, but exciting to get the official certificate for my little fledgling. I am officially transitioning this page to feature my art process and my products. While I still LOVE all papercrafts and ALL the other crafts, painting is what is speaking to my heart. I want to share my art, not just what I can create with someone else’s. Sharing what comes from my soul with the world, kind of terrifying really!
The last several months since then have been a whirlwind as I was able to participate in sharing my art at an artist meet and greet type of event at a cute local gallery. Through the gallery I was able to connect with another wonderful local who photographs my finished pieces and does my prints! It’s so exciting to get my art babies back with my logo on them!

November brought an invitation to paint a mural at the Kenai Arts Center along with several other local artists. I was flattered to be asked and so excited to get to participate! I was so nervous about painting in front of other people! Once I was there though, I found my tribe at last! All these like-minded people just busy doing their own pieces and dealing with their own insecurities, just like me! I really enjoyed the experience and the mural show turned out pretty darn cool!

From there I participated in one of the big holiday craft shows in my area for two days and a subsequent smaller event at a family member’s store. I sold several different items! It was pretty neat and a little weird to watch my art walk away with strangers! Between the summer and now I have felt such an awesome amount of support in our little community. They encourage one another and just help you do the art you were created to make!

My goal for 2023 will be to get this website updated and add my online store! I have a ton of requests for paint classes, so I might experiment a little with that too! Excited for this year!
