Girls Weekend Crafting

March 29, 2021 by TR Leave a Comment

This past weekend was a little getaway at the Oregon coast for some my Bunco gals and I. I did not know that there would be any crafting going on! To my surprise two of our lovely ladies brought supplies for projects for us all!

Night one project was a Pinterest inspired family birthday calendar. We were provided a long piece of wood for the sign and small round tags that will go below with birthdays and names on them!

The tricky part of this was we did not have paint brushes. ? We all managed to create using paper towels, Q-tips and fingers! Here is my messy creation.

This is still wet paint. Paper towel brushed universe layered with Q-tip trees.

The next day we tried our hand at acrylic paint pouring. I knew it was something I would enjoy but had been resisting because I don’t need any more hobbies! ? Of course after this I will be doing it again! Messy, messy fun!

Cup of color!
Placed canvas on cup, turned it over, minute later gently lift cup off. I think this was referred to as a dirty flip. So pretty! The next step is to then move your canvas around to let paint ooze all over to make cool designs!
Mine ultimately ended up looking like this as I played with blowing on spots to move paint around. Lots of fun! Give it try!
